What is the maximum duration for which you are able to fly during a shoot day?

At Ungraded Productions, we are equipped to handle even the most demanding drone shoots. We have an ample supply of batteries that allow us to keep our drones in the air for extended periods. Additionally, we bring our charging stations to the field to keep our batteries powered up and ready to go. This ensures that we can provide continuous coverage and capture all the aerial footage you need without interruptions.

What is the maximum altitude at which you are able to fly?

Accepted Answer

Most flight areas have a maximum altitude of 120 meters, or around 400 feet. While it is possible to request permission to fly higher in some cases, this may not always be necessary. Flying too high can result in flat, uninteresting footage similar to what you might see on Google Maps. In many cases, flying at a lower altitude can capture more dynamic and visually appealing footage with greater depth and perspective. Each shoot is unique and our experienced pilots are skilled at finding the right balance for the best results. Are you able to fly drones in adverse weather conditions?

Accepted Answer

At Ungraded Productions, we are able to fly our drones in wind speeds up to 43 km/h, or windforce 6. However, we always check the wind speeds on location using a wind meter to ensure it is safe to fly. Rain can also affect the feasibility of drone flight, as raindrops on the lens can make the footage unusable. The tolerable amount of rain depends on the specific circumstances and the type of shot being captured. Our experienced drone pilots are knowledgeable about the limits of our drones and can advise on the best course of action for a given shoot.

What are the areas in which you are able to fly your drones?

As a company certified within the European Union, we are able to perform higher risk drone operations such as flying within a no-fly zone near an airport or above an industrial area. Before conducting any job, we carefully assess the location to determine the type of no-fly zone it falls under. We also maintain close communication with the relevant air traffic control, hospital, or military force in the area to ensure the job is both legal and safe. If a job falls outside of our restrictions, we are able to obtain the necessary permits through our colleagues abroad to ensure the flight is conducted legally.

What is the maximum flight duration of your drones?

Accepted Answer

The flight time of drones depends on the size of their batteries. Our FPV drones usually have a flight time of around 8 minutes, while our DJI Mavic 3 Pro, one of our newest drones, can fly for up to 46 minutes.
